Into The Storm (Trailer #1) Review
I didn’t really care for the first teaser trailer and so I kind of ignored the film in general, however this full length trailer looks pretty good. Could be a new Twister if they play their cards right. The cast is impressive and they look serious about the film is great. The visuals and style of the film looks like it works, still not sure about the found footage aspect but we’ll see. Enjoy the review and please tell me your initial reactions to this new trailer, more so if you disagree.
“I’ve studied storms all my life. But this storm is bigger than any storm that has ever been.”

My Score: B-
Release date: 8th August 2014
Plot:
In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot. Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, “Into the Storm” throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

What I liked
#5. Even The Roof Above Your Head
I’ve always thought that with a floor beneath your feet and a roof over your head makes you feel secure, but if you just one of those away you become extremely exposed. Also Richard Armitage’s American accent isn’t bad.
–
#4. The Chasing Crew
What was good about the Twister film was the way the cast made their characters a family of friends and so you believed that they had been working together for a long time. I don’t think this will be the same but I hope there is good chemistry between them all.
–
#3. Fire Tornado!
I don’t have a lot to say about this. It’s a fire Tornado!
–
#2. In the Pipeline
Never really seen claustrophobic fear in a weather disaster film, could work. It is interesting to see because the sheer speed of wind required to rip a person from an underground pipe would be insane.
–
#1. A Rather Large Tornado
Certainly going to be a spectacle of a film, that’s really all I need from a natural disaster film. This whopper does look really cool though. Also who’s filming this scene?

What I Didn’t Like
#1. The Found Footage of Found Footage
So there are two people in this scene with cameras and we are looking through the lens of one of them. Do you really need to recordings of the relatively dull conversation? Your storm chasers, record the damn wreckage!

Wow okay well first off I found both of your comments in my spam folder which just happens from time to time. Second am not letting your 500+ worded review in my comment section, because its a section for comments not full reviews.
Next I would suggest getting a blog for yourself and that way you can put a bunch of your reviews. Also if you do I will visit because your review was good, but again not sure why you’d want it in my comment section.

This could be fun, but without Helen Hunt or Bill Paxton – well you just can’t buy that kind of chemistry. Nice review.

Yeah I see that being its biggest weakness. Still hopefully its a different beast 😀

I saw the trailer in the cinema around a month and a half ago and this was my reaction “Looks like Twister on steroids.” My thought it was a funny line and laughed a lot, but we were both in agreement that this film just looks like a crazier version of Twister but not nearly as interesting. If the reviews say that its worth a watch then I’ll give it a chance. Cool review yo.

To me this just looks awful. Plain awful. But like, in a fun, goofy, knowing sort of way. Sharknado, Megashark vs Giant Octopus, things like that come to mind. It could be a really fun cheesy sci-fi film, we’ll have to see. But I’m glad to see you are a little bit more optimistic about it’s quality. I certainly hope I’m wrong and it’s better than what I think it’s going to be

I never realised it was found footage until now ha. I felt the same way about the teaser trailer, I got the impression it was going to be one of those low budget films with crappy effects but this new trailer completely changes that. My curiosity may just get the better of me and I’ll have to go see it, because yes that fire tornado looks too awesome.
