10 Most Anticipated Films of 2015
This is my list of the most anticipated films released in the year 2015, wow this year, crept up quick. I have a skewed view towards the genres of Sci-fi and Action, so don’t expect indie or drama, I will watch them but at the moment I just don’t care. If you notice any films that you want to see more than anything then this could mean one of two things, either I disagree or I simply forgot it was coming out. If so I would love to know if I am missing any. Also there will be a box office prediction for each film; you guys know how much I like predictions. Upcoming reviews are all 2014 film, first The Guest then The Interview, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Nightcrawler and The Babadook. Also still need to see The Hobbit Battle of The Five Armies and Hunger Games Mocking Jay Part 1.
#10: Chappie
Niell Blomkamp my friend you are 50/50 with me right now. But I loved District 9 and the trailer looks good so am going to give you a spot on my list. Really wanted to review this films trailer but never got round to it and nowhere cares after a while. The CG looks amazing, its Blomkamp all over and I love the idea, the concept. Fingers crossed for this one, make me laugh, cry and route for the robot and Niell will be back.
“You know what’s a black sheep? It’s like when you different to everyone else”
Box Office Prediction: $300M

#9: Crimson Peak
This film would be higher up if it wasn’t being so vague right now. However the story sounds interesting, even if I do get sick of haunted house films, this sounds very different. Oh and did I mention it was Guillermo Del Toro writing and directing. And the cast is fantastic! Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam, and Jessica Chastain. Very much looking forward to a trailer. And the film of course.
Box Office Prediction: $150M (Depends on the advertising budget)

#8: Mad Max: Fury Road
I liked the Mad Max series, not my favourite but I did enjoy them. However what gets this film on this list is mostly the trailer, it’s fantastic! The music, the stunts, that giant sand storm. Also the cast is looking pretty great.
Box Office Prediction: $350M (if it’s good)

#7: Kingsman: The Secret Service
Mathew Vaghn I am a fan of yours. I didn’t even need to see the trailer for this film to know I was going to see it. I recently saw a small tweet review of Kingsman, something along the line of a dirtier, funnier James Bond film. That should be on a poster!
“Manners Maketh man”
Box Office Prediction: $300M
–
#6: Furious 7
Since I think the fourth or fifth film this series has really become something fun to watch at the cinema. This certainly looks fun at the very least and what else are we expecting now. Definitely a full on action series now with more guns than cars, just how I like. This will also be the last outing for Paul Walker, which is a damn shame but am sure they’ll make something to remember.
Box Office Prediction: $800M
“Remember Owen Shaw? Well this is his big bad brother”

#5: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2
Haven’t even seen Part 1 haha. Just going to blindly assume that this one will be a good.
Box Office Prediction: $800M (tricky because its following a lukewarm part 1)
[Trailer pending]

#4: Spectre
James Bond will always make this list. Spectre being the title and the cast being stellar is all I have to go off but if that’s not enough then am sure they’ll release a trailer whenever they actually get some footage together. I do laugh that this is not close to finishing filming but is coming out November this year and Batman v Superman finished filming months ago and isn’t coming out till March 2016.
Box Office Prediction: $900M (Skyfall may have been a fluke)
[Trailer Pending]

#3: Jurassic World
AM FREAKING OUT!!! Jurassic Park is back baby. Yippy! Not blind to the fact that this could end up being an epic bummer but am thinking it won’t. You can see my full trailer review to see why. I can’t wait to see a Jurassic park in full operation, and then everything goes wrong! Muwahahaha!
Box Office Prediction: $100 BILLION! Cos Pratt’s in this. And Dinosaurs.
–
#2: Avengers: Age of Ultron
#2 why that’s just blasphemy! Well it’s a big year so shut your cake holes. Avengers was great, fingers crossed this will also be great. Hulk busters, Mutants (oops. sorry Fox), and clearly an Avenger will die. I wonder who it will be? Hmm.
Box Office Prediction: $1.6B (Dollar Dollar Ya’ll)
–
#1: Star Wars: The Force Awakens
There is no other film this year more anticipated by nerds worldwide than this. Its Stars Wars come on. Even the prequels couldn’t sway me from being blindly optimistic. And especially not after that spectacular teaser trailer. Of which I have seen way too many times!
Box Office Prediction: $800M (People might be more sceptical after the prequels)
