Hiatus over!

Yes I am truly back. As bitter and angry as ever. Going to be reviewing films, the odd trailer and maybe even some movie news.

If your wondering why I left my reviews for nearly a year then (wow a year!) I havent got an answer but I am refreshed and have plenty of opinions to share with you all.

Sadly the worst part of my break was that I also never really visited anybody elses sites and reviews. I am sorry and will be trying to give everyones sites a good look.

Now as for what’s next I will be reviewing Batman V superman first, that’ll be out later today or tomorrow. As a slight teaser I was actually going to start the reviews as soon as that came out but after watching it I pushed it back to now.

Then I’ll review Deadpool, Captain America and a couple of other films I’ve seen.

San Andreas (2015) Mini Review

Genuinely liked this more than I’d thought I would. Lot of action, great visuals and Dwayne was on point leading this film, come a long way since Scorpion King. The film had endless clichés but it didn’t enrage me as much as it normally does, my reasoning will be explained later. It has been a while since I’ve seen a good disaster film and this was good. I’ll go into more detail below but give it a try, got trailers and images below. Check it all out and give me a like and a comment at the end.

Movie News Report: He Lived Long and Prospered

Encase anyone was wondering I am still doing reviews but haven’t seen any new films recently and the new trailers have been poo. I will be watching and reviewing Chappie next week.

This is an end of the week wrap up of what has happened in the geeky world of movies. I took better notes this time so I have a more complete list of things that have happened. Sadly nothing of much note has happened in the world of movies. So this post is a bit more random. And of course the devastating news that Leonard Nimoy has passed away.

Also I’ll include some movie features I liked from the blogosphere. I follow a lot of nerds!

This is my list of the Top Ten Films released in the year 2014. I have reviewed each one of them or a review is pending and consider them to be all worthy of their position. If you notice any films that you loved and that are not on the list then this could mean one of two things, either I disagree or I simply didn’t see it (there’s a lot of those). Chappie (Trailer #2) Review

FIRST TRAILER REVIEW OF 2015! I wasn’t really into the first trailer because it seemed to show pretty generic stuff for a first trailer and am a bit sore from Elysium (So disappointing) so I didn’t review it. Also no time. This I liked though, the idea of AI is fascinating and it’s always a good sci fi concept. The idea of replacing police with robots is giving me very vivid RoboCop flash backs. But I’ll wait and see. 10 Most Anticipated Films of 2015

This is my list of the most anticipated films released in the year 2015, wow this year, crept up quick. I have a skewed view towards the genres of Sci-fi and Action, so don’t expect indie or drama, I will watch them but at the moment I just don’t care. If you notice any films that you want to see more than anything then this could mean one of two things, either I disagree or I simply forgot it was coming out. If so I would love to know if I am missing any. Also there will be a box office prediction for each film; you guys know how much I like predictions. Upcoming reviews are all 2014 film, first The Guest then The Interview, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Nightcrawler and The Babadook. Also still need to see The Hobbit Battle of The Five Armies and Hunger Games Mocking Jay Part 1.

The Sony Hack: From a Funny Leak to a Horrifying Precedent

I avoid politics on my film blog because it very rarely has a place being here. However recently it has become such an all-consuming part of the film news world I thought I should chime in. Then a few days ago Sony had pulled the release of ‘The Interview’ from worldwide screenings. Bringing both my film nerd side and my political nerd side crashing together to form this post. I will discuss what happened, theory on why and my views on it happening.

Summer Box Office 2014 Results

Am Back! And you didn’t even know I left. Sorry for being away from the blog for a while and I may have also neglected some of the blogs I follow. Sorry about that. However I just realised I forgot to review Guardians of the Galaxy and as a result also haven’t read anyone’s reviews. However they are all bookmarked so when my review is out expect some comments.

So to this post, who won the box office this summer, the time of the blockbuster! Some upsets, some shockers and some we easily predicted. Read the rest of the post after the break and leave me a comment.

Most Anticipated Horror Films Of Summer 2014

This is my list of the most anticipated horror films released or to be released in the summer of 2014. This one may come a bit late because it is already June by now. However most on the list may be difficult to watch at first and so this list could still be used to advice you on what good horror films are coming out. I will warn you that I have come to hate haunted house films so don’t expect any on this list. Oh and horror films have very sporadic release dates so I will just be sticking to US release dates.

Update on the voting posts. I have finished the first two ‘The Good Points To Films I Hate’ and ‘A Comic Nerdy Opinion Post’ this is obviously done as well and the next two ‘A New Top Ten List’ and ‘Some Kind of Anime Post’ will be finished over the next two weeks.
