Box Office Predictions (23-25th Aug)

The Mortal Instruments, You’re Next, The Worlds End and Blue Jasmine…four wide releases again! As we go into the fall season the films coming out will become less known and as such will not bring in the same business but they will be interesting because they can maintain better numbers over a longer period. I am interested in seeing how The World’s End does in the US. Go watch some movies!

Box Office Predictions (16-18th Aug)

Kick-Ass 2, Jobs, The Butler, Paranoia…four wide releases on the same weekend again! Going to see kick Ass 2 tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it, couldn’t care less about the other film, but I hope anyone going to see them enjoy it. Don’t look for any big winners this weekend because the summer blockbuster season has ended. Go watch some movies!

Box Office Predictions (09-11th Aug) Results

Not a great weekend for the box office. Got some sad failures and some funny failures but no run away hits I am afraid. This weekend is actually quite important as it is the last weekend of big budget summer releases, sad that it didn’t do too well but there is only so much a film can do to get an audience. Go watch some movies!

Box Office Predictions (09-11th Aug)

A real predictor can do this before the weekend. Or I forgot to write something and had to quickly write. Ha let’s see what we got coming out this weekend. On Wednesday we have two new releases Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters    and We’re the Millers, spoiler alert I think they will bomb.  And as for Friday releases we have two more which are Elysium (Excited) and Planes. Go watch some movies!

2015 Or The Year Of The Blockbuster!

2015 could also be named the year of the sequel or of the NERD! With the recent news from Comic-Con of the Batman/Superman film being released in 2015 I thought it was time I wrote about the big one! Each time I tried to write about it new films got announced but I cannot see more films coming out so here we are. I have listed 18 MASSIVE blockbuster films coming out in 2015 ALONE and what’s scary is that I think I have actually forgotten some. I will be going through each of the massive films with some information on each and my thoughts, so read on.

Box Office Predictions (26-28th July) Results

Okay so right off the bat I was way off with my Prediction, way off! And with that whimpering weekend total the summer blockbuster season has ended. So with that in mind these predictions will become less frequent, for example nothing interesting is coming out next weekend but I will be posting my predictions for 9-11th August. Go watch some movies!

Box Office Predictions (26-28th July)

I don’t see anything special happening this weekend as we all know who’s going to win out. I am of course referring to The Wolverine, the only big player releasing this weekend. What I am interested in seeing is how well the returning films do on their second weekend. How will The Conjuring hold up to a second weekend? Because the The Purge dropped massively, and of course we have the other three releases. Look on for my analysis and go out to see some films. And I still haven’t forgotten about Pacific Rim!

Box Office Predictions (19-21st July) Results

Interesting weekend and one of my closest predictions to date, must be getting good. However Pacific Rim dropped more than 57% so expect a ridiculous hissy fit, am talking Dredd level fit. Grown Ups 2 $20M!!! Dafuq! But the four releases didn’t do to great considering the box office dropped compared to last year, sadly this could become more frequent if studios keep pushing more releases on the same weekend. I mean really four brand new films in one weekend which also has to compete with last weekend’s releases. Look on for my analysis and go out to see some films. Please go see Pacific Rim! PLEASE!!!

Box Office Predictions (5-7th July) Results

Sorry about the late post guys, my Dad’s in hospital and so it’s going to be a little slower around my blog. Rest assured I’ll still be reviewing Pacific Rim sometime next week. Back to the weekend’s releases and I was pretty close, in that The Lone Ranger bombed and Despicable Me 2 did great. My numbers were off by $42M over the top ten. What I didn’t expect this weekend was strong returning box office numbers, carry on reading to see what I mean. Go watch some movies and let’s look at the breakdowns.
