Kick-Ass 2 (2013) Review

Kick-Ass 2 is a lot of fun and whilst it may not be as excellent as the first film it has its moments. It’s a little hard to describe this film in a review, when its good it’s really good and when it’s not it’s quite boring. The continuation worked quite well from the first film and the theme of real world superheroes was expanded to Justice Forever (loved that) with some new “heroes”. The characters aren’t as consistent or memorable as in the first film and there was little connection to the big deaths. I have more complaints and nit-picking so read on. I’ll go into much more detail below but for now bookmark this if you are waiting to see the film, leave any comments below, if you have seen the film then check out the spoiler sections and I will look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts.

Carrie (Trailer #1) Review

Now I don’t mind remakes, never really bothered me as long as they are done well, a good films a good. However I did get worried about this one getting remade because it is a favourite of mine, but after watching the teaser trailer it looked crazy good. It had blood and destruction, looked great. This trailer however has a few things I am not sure about. Starting with the bad, Chloë Grace Moretz still looks fantastic. Why is that bad Tim? Well she is supposed to be mercilessly bullied into a murderous rage, but I am just not seeing the same realism as in the first film. More later on. The good, Julianne Moore and Chloë seem to be pulling off that crazy ass mother daughter relationship. That’s a difficult couple of scenes to deal with but they seem to be doing the original film justice. As for the rest of the trailer please read on for my favourite scenes.
