Box Office Predictions (23-25th Aug) Results

This weekend did not go as I predicted at all, a lot of shocking numbers, but mostly low. Returning films did very well but most of the new releases bombed. Or did they? Go watch some movies!

Box Office Predictions (16-18th Aug) Results

Kick-Ass 2, Jobs, The Butler, Paranoia…four wide releases and The Butler did it! Terrible joke I know but that’s me. The Butler really won this weekend, Kick-Ass 2 did not win and well Jobs and Paranoia BOMBED!!! Go watch some movies!

Box Office Predictions (26-28th July) Results

Okay so right off the bat I was way off with my Prediction, way off! And with that whimpering weekend total the summer blockbuster season has ended. So with that in mind these predictions will become less frequent, for example nothing interesting is coming out next weekend but I will be posting my predictions for 9-11th August. Go watch some movies!

Box Office Predictions (5-7th July) Results

Sorry about the late post guys, my Dad’s in hospital and so it’s going to be a little slower around my blog. Rest assured I’ll still be reviewing Pacific Rim sometime next week. Back to the weekend’s releases and I was pretty close, in that The Lone Ranger bombed and Despicable Me 2 did great. My numbers were off by $42M over the top ten. What I didn’t expect this weekend was strong returning box office numbers, carry on reading to see what I mean. Go watch some movies and let’s look at the breakdowns.

Box Office Predictions (5-7th July)

YES!!! This is the weekend I have wanted to get into since I started doing the Box Office Predictions, get ready for an epic win and an epic fail. The two new releases, first is Despicable Me 2 an animated children’s film following a massively successful first instalment with mass family appeal and big tracking numbers, and the second release is The Lone Ranger which haha should be fun to watch (not for Disney) so how will this unbelievably bloated excuse for a blockbuster do? The returning films The Heat and White House Down won’t be bothered too much this weekend but how much lower can they go and Monsters University should take whopping drop with the release of its biggest Competition Despicable Me 2. Will I get the numbers spot on? Will your predictions beat mine? Well the only way to find out is to read this prediction post and the results on Monday and go watch some movies, now to the breakdowns.

Box Office Predictions (28-30th June)

We got some interesting films coming out this weekend and a lot of heavy hitters returning from last weekend. The two new releases, first is The Heat a comedy film from the director of Bridesmaids and big comedy draws Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, and the second release is White House Down directed by Emmerich and staring Fox, Tatum and Woods but it isn’t looking healthy. The returning film World War Z and Monsters University should take decent positions this weekend with MU narrowly keeping its top spot. Can I redeem myself from my awful predictions last weekend? Well there’s only one way to find out, read this prediction post and they the results on Monday and go watch some movies, now to the breakdowns. Also Rorschach Reviews will be doing a similar feature so I have some more competitions.

Box Office Predictions (14-16th June) Results

Second week of predictions and the results are a little more in my ballpark. I even had more readers comment on the prediction and a few made their own, but who was closer? Well if you continue to the rest of this post you’ll find out. I know everyone is fixed on knowing the big releases scores this weekend but we can’t forget about the returning films of which one showed some shocking results. I also want to thank everyone for the likes and comments on my review of Man of Steel, of which beat my previous comment record with over 90 comments.
