John Wick (2014) Mini Review

John Wick won’t be winning any awards anytime soon but it is a lot fun in 100 mins. Should be on DVD in most places so check it out. Kick ass action. Good visuals. And Keanu Reeves does a lot and says very little, just how I like him. Keep it up Keanu.

I’ll go into more detail below but give it a try, got trailers and images below. Check it all out and give me a like and a comment at the end.

The Host (Trailer #3) Review

Just so there is no confusion I hate what this film is doing and the trailer just makes me cringe from start to end. From the mind Stephanie Meyer creator of the Twilight Saga, we get this new invasion genre assassin ‘The Host’. First she turned vampires into sparkling fairies, werewolves who are apparently allergic to shirts and a female lead who loves an older man who pervs over her sleeping, truly a role model for young girls everywhere. I just can’t wait to see how she will ruin alien invasions. What have I gleamed from the trailer? Aliens like white suits and mirror cars. Alien host learns to love a real boy. Romance will encompass this entire film, not good romance but lots of twilight “romance”. As a trailer it’s good but I can see it’s not a film for me. I didn’t see any acting per say but I don’t recognise anyone in it and wouldn’t know if we were getting another batch of awful actors, so can anyone enlighten me?

Top Ten Kids Films of 2000-2010 Part 1

Were back to the top ten’s and this could be the last of 2000-2010, so let me make it a good one. Kid’s films, mainly animations which let’s face it are the best. I am a sucker for these films as I grew up with a few of the earlier ones and watched the later ones with my cousins so I didn’t seem weird. So many films missed the cut off date, for example A Bug’s Life (1998), Tarzan (1999), The Iron Giant (1999) and Toy Story 2 (1999). Good year for kids films, but I am unwilling to change the almighty rules of the top ten. For I have spoken my gibberish! You know the rules but still at the end vote for favourite film from part 1, then in part 2 being released Monday do the same, then after a while I will post the results.

Best Films of 2012 – Part 1

It’s one of my amazing special posts, yay! (Nobody really cares, just look at the pretty pictures). Friday I will be posting a ‘Best of Christopher Nolan’ because of the Dark Knight Rises release.

Ok so we are now into the 7th month of the year so I thought I would put my favourite films of the year into monthly winners for the first half of 2012. Obviously part 2 won’t be coming out until January next year so keep an eye out for that when I will also reveal my winner of the year in genre categories (nobody really cares, just look at the pretty posters). Each winner is only put in a mini review but has been linked to the full reviews if you want to read more.

John Carter (2012) Review

Think I may be crazy, because I actually really liked this film. The film deserved a better rap than it got and the films advertisement was terrible. The main reason I would say the film didn’t make much money was the advertisement because even I didn’t go see it at the cinema and that’s really saying something. A massive surprise to me! That’s some good Sci-Fi.
